Whereabouts

August 10, 2010

If you have noticed a drastic decrease in posting, bless your heart, a. for being aware enough of what I post to notice an absense or b. keeping tabs on me at all.  If you didn’t notice, I completely understand.  If I was in your shoes, I wouldn’t have noticed either.

I am experiencing what can be best described limited time resources or the LTR.  The LTR started about 60 days ago and has been a challenge ever since.  I get into the office in the morning and by the time I really hit my stride, it is 3pm.  The LTR has required me to evalaute ever minute of the day and try to make it productive.  And let’s be honest, there are times that you just don’t want to and can’t be productive like that.  (I’m writing now during one of these moments).

So I pose this question- how do you manage your LTR?  To-do lists? iPhone apps? Ninja like discipline? I’d love your thoughts!

I have multiple to-do lists. An outlook flag list, a written to-do list that I make and a weekly to-do list from my boss. Otherwise I would never get anything done. I would forget it the second after the person asked me to do it. I even make a to-do list at home sometimes. It’s also very satisfying to cross things off the lists. Makes me realize how much I really do during any given day.

Do you ever feel like you have too many lists? I have an outlook list and written list and other tasks written on random pieces of paper.

I use MS Outlook at work and a paper planner for personal stuff – which includes everything from vet visits for the cat to holiday stuff. I use paper because I hate using the computer when I am at home and have to fight the hubby for it anyway. :)
